If you're reading this series for the first time, you MAY think I'm talking about owning more than one physical structure in which you live. And lest you think that I'm getting a little too personal about your "property", now's as good a time as any to let you know that I'm NOT talking about the house you LIVE in! I'm talking about the area of life in your astro. chart; your SECOND HOUSE....that "little piece of pie" on the the zodiacal wheel!
Each house is important but boy...THIS ONE...if THIS house isn't built on a strong foundation, life could be a wee bit shaky.
So what IS the SECOND HOUSE all about? Well...it's very, very important to HOW you go through life because the second house is about your OWN PERSONAL SENSE OF SELF-RELIANCE! You either have it, or your don't...or you're somewhere in the middle...maybe you have it sometimes in certain circumstances and maybe you have none in other circumstances.
It's when you find yourself feeling very little self-reliance about anything that the 2nd house needs a "housekeeper"! And that "housekeeper" would be YOU!
Here are some points that this area of life address:
- Physical Survival
- Knowing "WHO you are" - your ESSENCE
- Those who "keep up with the Joneses" will accumulate more MATERIAL possessions.
- Those who identify with their individuality will become their own resource for self-sustainment.
- Those who identify themselves as "spiritual beings having a human experience" will trust that Divine Source or the Universe provides what they need when they need it.
- This house deals with possessions: what you own materially AND conceptually.
- This house fosters the "do it yourself" way of being.
- What are YOUR talents and abilities? Do you BELIEVE in them? Or do you hide them behind something or someone YOU think is more powerful?
It's about belief in oneself. How are you doing in that house?
Really, it’s about believing in your SELF and relying on that belief. No one can put that belief within you. You must develop a belief in yourself if you do not own one. If you are grasping for more material possessions, you’re giving your sense of power over to an object. If you’re thinking that aligning with someone because of their position in life or your perception of their popularity, you’re giving your power over to another person….another spiritual being who is having a human experience just like you.
If in this life you are suffering from “second house issues” the antidote for it is to “intentionally” face it head on and gain your own strength back…own the issue and you own yourself. That will only make you stronger. If you immerse your “second house issues”(lack of SELF-esteem, fear of being YOU, desiring to merge with someone to feel safe or in buying more “stuff” or hiding behind a façade….you will only become weaker and eventually the image you own of yourself will not foster wholeness.
YOU have answers to life, talents and abilities to share, a unique way of being, a voice print as unique as your finger prints, an answer to something that NO ONE ELSE HAS. That ought to be enough to boost your self-esteem and make you believe in yourself. And if you are wondering what that answer to life, or talent or ability or unique way of being is….GO FIND OUT…Your astrology chart has some pretty revealing answers to the “whys” in your life. It reveals your potentials and the fears that keep you from them. Begin BUILDING that second house today….It is NEVER too late and the REWARDS are unequaled.
