Interestingly enough as this E-Newsletter launches, Mercury is Rx (retrograde). What does this mean and how does it affect us?
By now, most people have heard of Mercury Retrograde. They don't know really what it means but they associate its happening with something unpleasant. It doesn't really have to be an unpleasant experience if you understand what happens to the energy when Mercury goes Rx.
The planet Mercury rules communication of all kinds. A few times during the year, the planet Mercury will slow way down in its orbit...so much so that it appears to stop in space while all the other planets pass by.
Since everything is made up of energy and energy gives off frequencies, we have to include planets in the mix as well. If Mercury's energy and frequencies affect communication, and if the planet slows down at certain times, what do you think happens to communication as a result?
You guessed it! Communication slows down. Messages get mixed up or forgotten, mail deliveries can get delayed, computer glitches are more abundant and people misunderstand each other. I even suggest that, if at all possible, hold off on signing contracts during the Rx cycle.
Presently, Mercury is Rx and will remain that way until it goes direct on May 30, 2009...BUT....not so fast! Give Mercury the "10 day shadow." Ten days before it goes Rx and 10 days after it goes direct, the "shadow" of the Rx is operative. I can tell if Mercury is Rx without even looking at my ephemeris - (that's a big thick book that tells you what's happening with all the planets!)
It’s an interesting phenomena. It's real, it works, and it's fun to observe. Now here's the cool part.
Some of us were born with a Mercury Rx and actually, when Mercury goes Rx, we like it. WHY? This is a time to RE-do, RE-think, RE-imagine, RE-solve. This is a time to basically slow down, take a deep breath and learn something. How easy is THAT in today's world? But Natural Law being what it is, we are in a sense, forced to slow down and create a "do-over" if communication isn't effective.
For the next 20 days or so, until around June 10th, just observe even the slightest messages that get construed. And now that you're informed a bit, keep a watchful eye on the next cycle, coming up on September 6 to September 29, 2009 in the signs of Libra and Virgo --but remember -- give it the 10 days before and the 10 days after. It will affect communication in the areas of life for YOU where your Libra and Virgo are....and Libra is about relationships while Virgo is about discernment - especially with regard to work and service and one's personal health.
Now that I've informed you....remember...I told you this while Mercury was Rx! You might forget!
