Did you ever wonder WHY you believe what you do? Did you ever wonder why you STILL believe what you believed as a kid? Did you ever wonder why you DON'T believe in the same things your family of origin believes in? I'm asking a LOT of questions! SO "Geminian" of me! But so fitting....Gemini WANTS to KNOW!
Every sign is ruled by a planet and Gemini is ruled by MERCURY! Mercury the Messenger! Mercury the traveler! All the Geminis I know love to chat and learn and read and WALK or RUN! There's a reason for this!
If you're a Gemini and you're reading this, you'll just HAVE to read on; (inquiring minds want to know!)....and...if you're not a Gemini, just remember that GEMINI is somewhere in your chart....so this information will be affecting some area of your life. Do you know how you think? Let's find out It's good stuff!
Gemini is about our “phenomenal beliefs”…the beliefs we grew up with. Our first teachers were our parents, siblings, aunts/uncles/cousins, our neighbors and friends of the family. What THEY knew WE learned. This sounds simplistic enough. Their beliefs were our beliefs. Their way of seeing life was our way of seeing life. What they said we mimicked, because it is all we knew.
We hear that babies come into this incarnation with “clean slates”. Yes, we’ve lived before however, when we come back to this dimension, we have to come back as babies, through our mother’s bodies. When that happens, unless a soul is very highly advanced, there is a “veil of illusion and forgetfulness” that causes us not to remember when we’d lived before. However, on some deep unconscious level we DO KNOW…we know things and cannot explain how we know. We as babies and little children cannot explain ourselves. We cannot voice our opinions about our feelings, therefore, what we are told to believe, told to learn, told to hold as true, we do because as human children it’s how we begin again.
Life continues though, and as time marches on we develop greater awareness. Depending on the state and stage of our consciousness, we begin perhaps to question the beliefs and information we learned as a child. We learn deeper truths and look for deeper meanings to life. Let’s briefly take a look at some of the ways Gemini affects our thinking process for Gemini rules the LEFT BRAIN - cognitive thinking, while its opposite sign, Sagittarius, rules our right brain, our intuitive mind. How does this Gemini-thing work? What do we learn from Gemini?
- We learn about our immediate environment (family of origin) and learn to connect or disconnect from it.
- We learn about ourselves by either embracing or rejecting our immediate environment.
- We learn to classify people, places, things, object, and concepts. These classifications give us a sense of security, for now we can “name” things – we can now identify things, therefore, the “things” the “objects,” whether they be people, places, or concepts, are not as foreign to us – because we can call them by a name. Therefore, our emotional security is based on what we intellectualize.
- We gather facts and we develop a “need to know.”
- We develop POINTS OF VIEW!
What about these points of view…can our classifying, identifying, name-calling, pin-pointing, statistic-gathering, fact-finding fascinations broaden our perspective on life? Well, I guess it depends on the how evolved the consciousness of each individual is. What are the differences? Are you someone who…
- Limits life to your version of anything and everything? My way or the highway? “You may be right, but I don’t THINK so!”
- Do you have people in your life that remind you how perfect you are NOT, in order to control THEIR environment?
- Are you or do you know people who have the “know it all” syndrome?
- Are you or do you know people who gravitate only to what society says is acceptable? Do you find yourself saying, (even if it is in resignation), “Well, that’s the WAY it IS! What can you DO?”
- Do you have to believe in a certain dogma, set of rules or way of being in order to feel safe?
These ways of thinking and being belong to the consensus reality state of which approximately 70% of our globe belongs. Consensus reality doesn’t do a lot of creative thinking, for it feels too insecure. They tend to want to be told how to think and are much more comfortable having some “accepted authority figure” set the pace, the rules, the “way it is.”
How about this: Can you identify more with these Gemini operatives?
- Would you rather think for yourself and uniquely abide by your own opinion?
- Are you comfortable rejecting the “herd mentality” and rather seek your own path, and create your own thoughts?
- Do you tend to create your own way of thinking and being- a sort of eclectic gathering of concepts for life?
- Do you enjoy thinking yourself?
These ways of thinking belong more to the individuated state of the soul. About 20 % of the world’s population resides here.
Do you perhaps find yourself thinking this way?
- Life is timeless; Every thing cycles. I have many chances to do and re-do life.
- Natural Law is timeless and the real physical world moves within Natural Laws, not man-made laws and conditioning.
- As human beings we form societies and for the benevolent good of our societies we may have to have certain rules or laws that are natural and eternal and inclusive of all consciousnesses.
- Do you find yourself trying to describe these ways of being by using example, metaphors, or a story?
- Do you use facts to illustrate a Universal Truth?
This state would be the spirituated state and about 3% of the planet lives here. And even in this state, BECAUSE the soul has lived through the consensus state, the consensus state can creep back in by saying that the other is “wrong.” These are the tip-of-the-iceberg ways that Gemini will handle ideas and concepts according to the evolutionary state of each soul..
Gemini is a fascinating sign. It definitely has a story to tell and those who have their SUN in Gemini, have Gemini Rising, a strong third house, planets in Gemini or aspects to Mercury and planets in Gemini have very active mental bodies and nervous systems. They would do well to think less and meditate more! And perhaps in that time of meditation, new worlds will open up to them…and another story will be born!
