Ah Capricorn! I could talk about this sign all day -- and night! After all, I AM one! I love all the signs in the zodiac. You see, we each have every one of the 12 signs in our own personal natal charts. But the sign that is one's Sun sign tends to be a little nearer and dearer to the heart. For me, that's Capricorn! (Just ask my son, he'll tell you. He's a Cancer!)
So HAPPY AND BLESSED SOLAR RETURN to all of us out there who are Capricorns!
We, too, have a "high side and a low side" to our sign. And, why not? We live here on earth, the planet of polarities and dualities. It's how we learn about ourselves and this planet is one HUGE university with "class offerings" from the most basic to the sublime!
So who are we? For none of us is ever exactly alike. That would be too boring for "Earth School!" Let’s find out!
Let's do some quick bullet points!
- We're a sign of contrasts! We can be optimistic and pessimistic!
- We're pretty conventional - in varying degrees - even if it's just the way we look.
- We have a sort of "off-beat" sense of humor....that "Mark Twain-ish" humor – you know - we love the "understated stuff" – we get "puns" and love that sort of "dry-wit" that speaks of , "Yeah, I get it!' -- kind of like the secret handshake!
- We can be over-achievers par excellence. Not ALL of us...but boy those of us who are....we REALLY over-achieve! (That's where our opposite sign of Cancer needs to come in and nurture us into some serious "play time!" (Whatever "play" is to each individual Capricorn!
- We love structure! It's really necessary in our lives! But, we MUST REMEMBER...if a structure isn't working....we need to get rid of it and re-build it or some semblance thereof, in order to function WHOLLY again. (We'll be reminded of this for the next 15 years as PLUTO is in Capricorn for that long! WHOA!
- We really like starchy foods and they're not too bad for us - in moderation...and most Caps tend to do moderation pretty well. We hate paying the price for not feeling well. (If we're working our high side)
- Partnership - the right partner means everything to a Capricorn. Some of us choose "parent figures" for we have a penchant for maturity. Some of us make sure we marry for money and status - (not always the best move - that's usually due to our low emotional, self-esteem side) With the right partner, we're as loyal as the day is long. It's one of those "'Til death do us part!" things.
- We are pretty loyal to our parents, and we can make very good parents but we must remember to allow our children to succeed in the direction of their choice, not ours. We can get too "success oriented" at times, with only our definition of success! We must be careful as parents not to build an "unbridgeable" generation gap!
- We need to keep moving! Sitting behind a desk for us isn't a good idea....if we MUST be at a desk all day....we need to walk, do yoga, move, anything to move the joints. Capricorn rules the knees and body's structure. Getting "stiff" is NOT an option. We also need to watch our skin. Saturn RULES Capricorn. Capricorn rules the skin. Saturn is the outer most planet that we can see with the naked eye. The skin is our body’s covering and largest organ; our “outer most limit. We need to hydrate by drinking good amounts of filtered water and protect our skin with some really good creams and ointments. Also, problems in life can cause us digestive disorders. Again, meditation, yoga, physical exercise and leisure activities are essential to us. MUSIC is one of our BEST FRIENDS!!!! ( I REALLY like THAT one!)
Ultimately we need to realize that we have a place in the world, we have a right to be here, and that the world is our oyster if we work our high side, fully aware of the fact that the other 11 signs in the zodiac are equally as beautiful as we are. To that end, we will govern with benevolence for the highest good of ALL concerned.
